This coming Saturday is the fall show for Wargames Among the Warplanes, my localish (about an hour and 20 minute drive each way) twice a year one day wargaming show. It kind of feels like this one snuck up on me; I feel like the spring show was just a couple weeks ago! While I'd initially planned to bring Devilry Afoot to run a demo table of at the fall show, I feel like I haven't practiced enough with the system to feel confident teaching it. So I've pivoted, and will have a demo table of Planetsmasher Games' Perilous Tales going. I figure I can get at least three games in during my time slot, so I'm bringing three different villains and an assortment of modern figures to respond heroically. I'll keep the terrain set up the same between games so that I only need to bring a couple of buildings and a 2x2 mat.
oh that will be cool. can't wait to read the battle reports on three different villains. I would probably change up the terrain setup, use the same buildings and such but just change them around a bit. so not everything's the same for each game/scenario.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim! I figure I'll change the objectives and perils each game as well as the villains along with rearranging buildings. If I planned this right, I'll be able to fit all of my terrain in a single reusable shopping bag this show!

ReplyDeleteThanks Stew! It's a very small one-day show, probably only 30-40 people through the door total but it's a really nice, congenial atmosphere.
DeleteSometimes, the good guys just plain old lose!! It is kind of refreshing to have a game like that once in awhile. Of course, not so much if they characters are all part of an ongoing campaign that just came to a brutal end...ha, ha!
