OWAC Begun

It's January, and I'm once more painting orcs for the Old World Army Challenge. I'm off to a solid start, with 15 Orc Big'uns (mostly Citadel figures released between 1985-1993) and a Shaman:

  1. these are great. love how they arent green like all orcs we see, the tan/light brown was nicely down.

    1. Thank you! They actually are green (I just got a lightbox so better photos will be posted going forward) but a very ochre-y green.

I prime black, then base-coat the skin with two coats of Reaper "Driftwood Brown" followed by a wash of GW Agrax Earthshade. Once that's dry I lightly drybrush them with Vallejo "Undead Flesh." I wash eye-sockets and lips with GW Druchii Violet and then pick out teeth, eyes, etc.
